No visible film or sheen is left behind once it cures, so the surface keeps its original look. That said, porous or unpolished stones sometimes respond differently to the treatment, so test a small hidden area first.
2. Can it be used on both indoor and outdoor surfaces?
It works across interior and exterior applications. The one thing to watch outdoors is timing, since rain during curing can affect how well it sets.
3. How long does the protection last?
With two coats applied, it comes with a 10-year international warranty. The protection can also be renewed over time, so surfaces don't need a full strip-back when it's due for a refresh.
4. Does the surface still breathe after treatment?
Yes. Moisture vapour trapped below the surface can still pass through and escape rather than getting locked in. This matters most on exterior surfaces, where trapped damp can eventually cause blistering.
5. Is FILA HYDROREP suitable for grout joints?
Grout joints get the same level of water and damp protection as the surrounding stone or concrete, so there's no need for a separate grout sealer.
