What aesthetic finish does FILA SATIN provide?

FILA SATIN delivers a sophisticated, soft-luster satin finish. It provides a slightly higher sheen than a matte treatment, subtly highlighting the natural character of the stone without creating a high-gloss, artificial reflectivity.

Can FILA SATIN liquid floor wax be used on exterior surfaces?

No. FILA SATIN is strictly engineered for interior environments. Because it forms a topical protective layer, external elements like direct UV radiation, pooling rainwater, and freezing cycles will cause the wax film to rapidly degrade, cloud, or peel.

Is FILA SATIN suitable for bathrooms, wet rooms, or pool surrounds?

It is not recommended for damp environments or areas subjected to standing water. Constant moisture exposure can cause liquid waxes to emulsify, turning the finish cloudy or white. For wet zones, protect the substrate internally using a high-performance FILA penetrating sealer instead.

Can FILA SATIN be used for ongoing maintenance as well as the initial seal?

Yes, it is highly versatile. FILA SATIN acts as both the initial protective coat and an ongoing maintenance treatment. For regular floor upkeep, adding a small dilution of FILA SATIN to your rinse water restores the sacrificial surface layer and repairs minor scuffs seamlessly.

How can the FILA SATIN wax layer be removed or stripped if required?

Because it functions as a sacrificial topical layer, it can be entirely stripped back when it becomes worn or soiled over time. The wax film can be safely removed by deep-cleaning the floor with a specialized alkaline dewaxing agent such as FILA PS87 PRO.

Will FILA SATIN significantly alter the look of my floor tiles?

FILA SATIN will gently enhance the natural tonal depth of the material while introducing a distinct satin sheen. Because it modifies the surface reflectivity, we always recommend applying a small test application in an inconspicuous area to verify the aesthetic outcome before full-scale application.
